CHALLENGE DAY 1: Get in the Driver’s Seat
2 months ago, my Boss said something inappropriate in our Group Chat that wounded me. It was so painful that I resolved not to forgive him. I also intended to stop working under him and worse, to even leave the company for good. My anger towards my Boss affected my job and the other areas of my life as well.
After watching Jack Canfield’s video for Day 1 of the Drive for Change CHALLENGE, I realized that I wasted so much energy for hating my Boss. Tremendous power has been drawn from me that I was no longer functioning the way I should. Time to refocus and redirect such power to something productive.
Today, I release all my bitterness, hatred, and sentiments in my heart and claim dominance of my emotions. Jack is right that we cannot control the things happening to us but we can control our response to anything that happens to us.
Today, I choose to forgive my Boss even if he will never apologize for his action. I will start communicating again with my clients and serve their needs in the best way possible. My job need not suffer just because I was judged wrongly by one person.
Great to be back in the driver’s seat. A whole new life awaits!
